Turns out, being the best mom isn’t about doing more—it’s about becoming you.
Thirteen years ago, I had one goal: to be the very best mom I could be. As someone who always dreamed of being a stay-at-home mom—who even earned a degree in Human Development to prepare for it—you’d think I would’ve felt confident once I was living it. But I didn’t. I wasn’t outgoing like the other moms on my street, my house was never quite clean enough, and the meals never felt healthy enough. I was constantly comparing myself and coming up short.
It wasn’t until I found myself completely burned out and questioning everything that I realized it was time to throw out the rulebook and rebuild from the inside out.
What I’ve learned is this: once you stop obsessing over doing it “right,” you can finally start mothering like you.
And when that happens? It’s like magic.
